Theta catalon, CEO & FOUNDER

 

Producer, Theta Catalon began her film career as an actress. That path soon led her to writing, directing and producing her first short film “Academic Affairs”; which went on to be NOMINATED for Best Domestic Short at the 7th Annual 2009 Queens International Film Festival in New York. Her acting & filmmaking career thus far includes work in several short films, commercials, webisodes, music videos and three feature films; to include her latest production efforts “Because I Love You”; which is currently being distributed worldwide via Video on Demand, as well as, digitally through iTunes, Amazon, YouTube and Vudu.  The DVD was released nationwide March 26, 2013.  

 

Theta is now in post-production for her next feature length production “Flashes”; in which she was the recipient of the inaugural Houston Filmmaker Grant; which was initiated by the Mayor’s Film Task Force. Furthermore, she has contributed to the success of several films playing numerous other production roles, such as Assistant Director, Editor, Production Assistant, etc. 

 

Aside, from holding two academic degrees including a Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelors in Psychology, Theta has cultivated her experience in film, by pursuing a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing from Full Sail University, as well as, a degree in Filmmaking from The Art Institute of Houston.
